Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities within your designated region, building long-term relationships with commercial clients, and securing contracts for electricity, gas, and merchant services. You will work with a wide range of clients, from SMEs to large corporations, helping them optimize their energy and payment solutions. This is a highly rewarding sales position, offering significant earning potential through uncapped commissions and a comprehensive support structure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Generation & Prospecting: Actively prospect for new business opportunities by identifying potential clients within your designated region.
* Sales Strategy Development: Work closely with the senior management team to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers across various sectors.
* Presentations & Proposals: Prepare tailored proposals and present our suite of services to potential clients.
* Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and close deals effectively, ensuring the best possible terms for both the client and the company.
* Market Research: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities.
* Target Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs, contributing to overall company growth.
* Post-Sale Support: Provide excellent ongoing support to clients post-sale, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
* Uncapped Commission: Generous commission structure with the potential for significant earnings based on performance.
Skills & Experience:
* Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably in energy, utilities, or B2B services (although not essential).
* Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
* Self-Motivated: Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
* Problem Solving: Ability to identify client needs and propose tailored solutions.
* Organizational Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills to manage your sales pipeline and meet targets.
* Driving License: Full clean driving license is essential.
