Job Title: Senior Cost Manager / Cost Manager (Data Centre Projects) Location: Dublin Company: Necto Search & Selection (on behalf of a leading global cost consultancy) Our client, a premier global cost consultancy, is seeking experienced Cost Managers to play a pivotal role in delivering world-class data centre projects for a renowned technology client. The Opportunity: You will be the key commercial lead on major international construction projects, ensuring financial control, strategic cost management, and successful delivery from conception to final account. This is a high-visibility role where you will act as the client's representative and work with a global team. Ideal Candidate Profile: Senior Cost Manager: 15+ years of experience in a client-facing Cost Management/Quantity Surveying role. Cost Manager: 10+ years of experience in a client-facing Cost Management/Quantity Surveying role. Background: Proven experience on large-scale programs and projects. Data centre construction experience is a significant advantage. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Professional membership (e.g., RICS or equivalent). Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, including: Pre-Construction: Developing detailed cost plans, estimates, and budgets. Leading value engineering and risk management workshops. Procurement: Managing tender processes, analysing bids, and negotiating contract sums (GMP/Lump Sum) with contractors. Cost Control: Managing project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows. Preparing monthly financial reports and presenting to senior client stakeholders. Change Management: Leading the commercial evaluation and negotiation of all project changes. Contract Administration: Providing commercial oversight of contracts, payment applications, and invoicing. Final Account: Negotiating and agreeing on final accounts with contractors and vendors. Staff Management: Management of 5 staff members. What We're Looking For: A proactive leader who can work with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills to brief client stakeholders daily. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Proficiency with cost management software and tools (experience with @Risk is a plus). Knowledge of international construction standards and practices.
