Clinical Nurse Leader Role
Job Overview:
The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) is a senior nursing leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of an Endoscopy Unit. The successful candidate will have significant experience in nursing management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high standards of patient care;
* Leadership Development: Promote continuing professional development among staff and develop in-service training programs;
* Knowledge Advancement: Maintain up-to-date knowledge on relevant nursing literature and research;
* Efficient Service Delivery: Manage the Endoscopy Unit efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care;
* Team Collaboration: Participate in nurse management teams to effectively manage services and liaise closely with consultants, senior nursing staff, and multidisciplinary team members;
* Performance Monitoring: Monitor and maintain performance indicators and devise service plans that adhere to established standards;
* Clinical Learning Environment: Foster a clinical learning environment and supervise student assessments in practical clinical placements;
* Nursing Role Development: Support the development and expansion of nursing roles and maintain own clinical competence.
Eligibility Criteria:
* Registered with the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland;
* At least 5 years post-registration full-time experience, with 2 years in the related area as a CNM1/CNM2;
* Clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role;
* Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
