Role Overview
This is a dual-purpose role combining the leadership of our internal Outsourcing Finance Team with direct delivery of Fractional Financial Controller services to selected clients.
You will:
1. Lead and run the day-to-day operations of Rhomu’s Outsourcing Finance Team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality accounting, reporting, and compliance services for our outsourced clients.
2. Act as a Fractional Financial Controller for assigned clients, integrating into their leadership teams to provide strategic financial guidance, reporting, and control.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, people leadership, and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities1. Outsourcing Team Management (Internal)
* Oversee the delivery of accounting and finance services to multiple outsourced clients, including AP, AR, payroll, VAT, month-end close, reconciliations, and management accounts.
* Manage, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.
* Ensure all services are delivered on time, within SLA, and to Rhomu’s quality standards.
* Implement and monitor process efficiencies, automation tools, and best practices to improve client service.
* Oversee workload allocation, performance reviews, and training needs within the team.
* Liaise with Rhomu leadership on client satisfaction, resourcing, and growth opportunities.
2. Fractional Financial Controller (Client-facing)
* Act as the lead finance contact for assigned clients, often working as part of their senior management team.
* Deliver monthly/quarterly financial reporting packs, cash flow forecasts, and management accounts.
* Implement and maintain financial controls, policies, and processes.
* Support clients with budgeting, scenario planning, and decision support.
* Provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and cash flow.
* Assist with year-end preparation, liaising with auditors and tax advisors.
* Lead finance-related projects such as system implementations, restructuring, or acquisition due diligence.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* You must be both based in Ireland and have 5+ Years working experience in the Irish Market in a senior in a senior accounting/controlling role.
* This is commercially focused role. Your experience must be in industry.
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* 5+ years’ experience in a senior accounting/controlling role.
* Experience managing a finance team and multiple client relationships.
* Strong technical accounting skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Confident in client-facing roles, able to translate financial data into actionable insights.
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
Desirable
* Experience in outsourcing, shared services, or professional services environments.
* Exposure to multiple industries and SME environments.
* Understanding of automation tools, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms.
