A major Public Sector entity is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join its sovereign development fund, supporting investments that drive economic growth, job creation, and national strategic outcomes across Ireland. This is a high-impact role offering exposure to venture capital, growth equity, private equity, and private credit investments across diverse sectors.
The fund focuses on transformational investments in Climate, Housing and Enabling Infrastructure, Indigenous Businesses, and Food & Agriculture, combining commercial returns with meaningful public purpose.
Role Overview
You will join the Portfolio Management Division, specifically the Irish Portfolio Monitoring team. Your responsibilities will include monitoring a portfolio of Irish investments, analysing financial performance, preparing annual review papers, supporting valuations, and engaging with investee companies and co-investors.
This role offers high visibility and direct influence on investments with a national impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and analyse investee reports and financial statements
* Prepare and present annual review papers for portfolio investments
* Support valuation processes for equity investments
* Conduct company and sector research to inform investment insights
* Attend investee company meetings and advisory committees
* Build effective relationships with internal teams, investees, and co-investors
* Contribute to process improvements within the portfolio monitoring function
Candidate Profile
Experience & Qualifications
* 4+ years’ experience in investment management, portfolio management, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, or related environment
* Relevant third-level qualification; CFA or accountancy qualification (or progressing towards) preferred
* Experience in portfolio monitoring and financial statement analysis
* Knowledge of data analytics and investment modelling
