Purpose Responsible for leading the technical sales strategy, supporting engineering-driven business development, and overseeing complex project delivery.
This role bridges the gap between engineering, sales, and operations to ensure technically sound, scalable, and profitable project execution.
Responsibilities Technical Sales & Business Development Develop and execute a sales strategy with strong technical foundations for engineered systems and solutions.
Engage in solution-based selling, working closely with clients to understand technical requirements and propose custom-engineered HVAC ducting solutions.
Support and lead technical pre-sales activities, including system design reviews, specification development, and technical proposal preparation.
Act as the primary point of contact for technical discussions with consultants, contractors, and clients.
Engineering Collaboration & Project Input Collaborate with the Engineering Department for accurate system design, take-offs, and feasibility assessments during the quotation phase.
Participate in project kick-off meetings internally (with Engineering and Production) and externally (with contractors/clients) to ensure alignment on scope and technical requirements.
Ensure seamless handover between sales, engineering, and project execution teams.
Project Oversight & Delivery Support Provide input and oversight for engineering-related project planning and subcontractor coordination.
Support sub-contractor selection based on technical capability and capacity; negotiate and finalize scope and pricing for installations.
Manage technical aspects of project change orders, variations, and scope adjustments during project execution.
Data Analysis & Reporting Deliver monthly technical sales forecasts and pipeline updates to the CEO/COO.
Compile data from customer feedback and technical engagements to guide product improvement and new solution development.
Maintain a structured CRM approach, including technical notes, customer requirements, and engagement records.
Quality, Compliance & Improvement Ensure all proposals, projects, and solutions comply with QEHS standards and applicable engineering codes.
Maintain rigorous documentation, including technical specifications, meeting minutes, and compliance records.
Representation & Industry Engagement Represent the company at technical conferences, trade shows, and industry forums.
Provide thought leadership and contribute to whitepapers or presentations on engineering innovations in HVAC ducting systems.
Qualifications Engineering degree (Mechanical, HVAC, or related) strongly preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales, engineering, or project delivery within a manufacturing, HVAC, or construction-tech environment.
Strong communication and technical presentation skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools is a plus.
