We are hiring a Customer Service Supervisor to lead and support our customer service team based at head office in Galway. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong customer-facing skills with the confidence to manage a small team and coordinate daily operations.
You'll oversee customer service reps, manage the rota, and play a key role in supporting our delivery planning process. You'll be the bridge between customers, our drivers, and internal departments to ensure every order runs smoothly from start to finish
The Role
As Customer Service Supervisor, you'll lead by example in a busy, phone-based environment. You'll manage the performance of the customer service team, step in to resolve escalated issues, and work closely with the Delivery Planning Coordinator to ensure orders are routed effectively.
This role is ideal for someone with previous supervisory or senior customer service experience who is looking to step into a broader operations role.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the customer service team and lead daily operations
- Manage rota planning, shift cover, and ensure optimal call handling
- Handle escalated customer issues professionally and promptly
- Assist with delivery scheduling and coordination alongside the Delivery Planning Coordinator
- Administer and check driver dockets for accuracy and completeness
- Manage daily cash and credit card receipt reconciliation
- Support debtor collections and follow-up activity
- Support training and onboarding of new team members
- Monitor performance and service quality across all customer touchpoints
- Take and process sales orders as required
- Liaise with drivers, depots, and internal teams to maintain smooth workflow
What You'll Need
- Previous experience in a customer service or dispatch team, with supervisory responsibility
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and calm under pressure
- Good knowledge of local geography is an advantage
- Proficient with computers and phone systems
- Positive team leader with high service standards
