The Department of Sociology will shortly offer social work education via the Master's in Social Work programme. This post is to directly support the establishment and delivery of this flagship programme as well as other undergraduate & postgraduate offerings as they arise. We seek candidates who hold a PhD in Social Work (or close cognate discipline) or who are close to completion before the commencement of the post. Candidates also must hold a professional qualification in social work and be registered (or eligible to register) as a social worker with CORU – the Health and Social Care Professional Regulator in Ireland. The successful candidate must be registered with CORU prior to the commencement of the post. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute significantly to the research output and teaching programmes of the Department.
