Overview of Role
* Project Delivery:
Execute IT projects that meet all business requirements while adhering strictly to timeline, budget, and quality standards.
* Stakeholder Management:
Cultivate strong partnerships with project sponsors and business managers to ensure solutions align with organizational goals.
* Issue Resolution:
Identify escalation paths and recommend strategic solutions to keep projects on track.
* Financial Oversight:
Monitor project budgets according to internal protocols, providing transparent reporting to Finance and key stakeholders.
* Risk Mitigation:
Proactively manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs to minimize project disruptions.
* Communication & Visibility:
Provide regular progress updates and maintain oversight of internal and external contributors to ensure delivery certainty.
* Governance:
Implement and uphold project management methodologies to ensure rigorous project oversight.
* Resource Planning:
Lead cross-functional IMTD teams, managing project scope and securing necessary technical resources through demand management.
* Performance Feedback:
Contribute to the professional development of project staff by providing performance feedback to their respective line managers.
* Vendor Management:
Oversee external vendors to ensure all activities and commercial agreements comply with procurement and payment policies.
* Third-Party Relations:
Manage third-party performance reviews and facilitate vendor selection processes with appropriate stakeholder involvement.
* Outsourcing Oversight:
Manage the primary IT outsource partner to ensure they meet budgetary, timeline, and quality assurance benchmarks.
* Reporting:
Deliver timely weekly and monthly status reports to Programme Managers, Steering Committees, and the PMO.
* Continuous Improvement:
Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and refine future project delivery frameworks.
* Problem Solving:
Analyse complex issues to recommend actionable solutions or escalate them as
Strategic
necessary.
* Mentorship:
Facilitate knowledge sharing, coaching, and mentoring to enhance the skill sets of fellow team members.
What do you need?
* 7 years of Project Management and an appropriate PM qualification
* Experience in agile and scrum,
Qualifications:
* Degree is Essential
* Irish /UK/EU Citizen or Stamp 4 visa is Essential
* An ability to work in Central Dublin 3 Days per week (essential)
* A Scrum Cert is helpful, not essential
