Job Description
A Quality Control Analyst is required by our client, a chemical producer and distributor, to work on a 6-month contract based in their Headquarters in Galway.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Quality Manager and team to ensure all raw and finished materials are tested and comply with regulatory requirements.
2. Verify that each batch undergoes proper testing and adheres to established procedures.
3. Contribute to the development, review, and update of Quality Assurance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
4. Analyze customer complaints and investigate any issues that arise.
5. Publish Product Quality Reviews and devise plans to rectify problems (CAPAs).
6. Ensure laboratory equipment and tools are inspected and serviced on time.
7. Assist in maintaining lab equipment according to SOPs.
8. Prepare for inspections and audits from the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) and implement corrective actions as necessary.
9. Maintain adherence to Health & Safety regulations.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or relevant field; at least one year of experience in a laboratory setting adhering to cGLP standards approved by the HPRA.
* A minimum of one year hands-on experience operating high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC) instruments for analytical testing.
