Job Overview
This role involves providing technical support and expertise in manufacturing technologies to ensure the effective execution of responsibilities. Based in Ballina, you will serve Manufacturing Operations as a primary customer, liaising with Global Engineering (GE), New Product Development (NPD), Research and Development (R&D), Quality Assurance (QA) & Supply Chain (SCM).
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute new processes/equipment to establish process windows.
* Concept development and supervision of mechanical machine design for new production equipment or upgrading/modification of existing equipment.
* Evaluate and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives using DMAIC improvement process principles.
* Lead projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely completion within budget and deadline.
* Conduct QA Services, including process qualification and protocol work, leading and executing PFMEAs.
* Perform Safety Reviews to ensure compliance with current safety standards and legislation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Primary Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in Project/Process Engineering.
* Advanced knowledge of PLC systems, pneumatics, 2/3D CAD skills, and project management techniques.
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, Occupational Health & Safety practices, and SMED/DMAIC techniques.
