Overview

Location: 2 weeks in Dublin (Ireland) and 2 weeks in Spain
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 per year (depending on experience)
Availability: Immediate

At The Vet Office, we are looking for passionate veterinarians who want to develop their careers in an international setting, combining the experience of working in Ireland with the flexibility of living in Spain.


Requirements

* Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.

* Registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).

* Immediate availability.

* Strong communication skills with both clients and colleagues.

* Commitment to high standards of animal welfare and veterinary care.


Key Responsibilities

* Diagnose, treat, and care for patients to the highest professional standards.

* Investigate and manage cases in-clinic as thoroughly as possible before referral.

* Take full responsibility for patients, ensuring appropriate after-hours and follow-up care.

* Keep medical records accurate and up to date.

* Prescribe and dispense medications safely and correctly.

* Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, providing estimates and full treatment plans.

* Ensure an outstanding client experience across all channels (in person, phone, email, social media, website).

* Promote Pet Health Plans and Insurance to support the best level of care.

* Collaborate and communicate effectively with the clinic team, ensuring patients receive the highest level of care and compassion.

* Provide veterinary training to staff to support best practices.

* Help maintain the clinics appearance and smooth daily operations.

* Ensure billing is correct and transparent.

* Remain compliant with VCI regulations, CPD requirements, and professional conduct guidelines.

* Complete all clinical and administrative duties accurately and efficiently.


Administrative Duties

* Prepare referral letters and attach relevant medical histories.

* Manage paperwork for external laboratories.

* Complete pet passports where applicable.

* Sign vaccination records.

* Process insurance claim forms when required.
