 
        
        Position Summary
The Insight Research Ireland Centre for Data Analytics at University College Cork (UCC) is seeking a highly motivated Post‑Doctoral Researcher for an explainable AI project using multimodal health data for visualisation and decision optimisation. The researcher will work with a team of experts on a range of topics, including explainable and trustworthy artificial intelligence for healthcare, and will be based on UCC’s campus.
The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, has a strong publication record, and possesses experience in AI, deep learning, decision‑support systems, or multimodal data analysis. A background in biomedical applications and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable. Strong project management and teamwork skills are expected.
The position is for a maximum of six months (project end date 30.06.26). The successful applicant will be appointed at Post‑Doctoral level in accordance with their experience and qualifications.
