We are looking for you to build out scalable applications to support our Portfolio Management, Compliance, Finance, Data Governance, Operational Risk, and Human Resources teams. You will need to have in-depth technical knowledge of Java or Python together with strong SQL and should feel comfortable working within large internal and external data sets. We want you to see this challenge as a unique and valuable opportunity, so if this sounds interesting, then PGIM could be the place for you.What You Can ExpectDesign, develop and maintain software applications primarily backend services using Python, Java, JavaScript, React, GraphQL in AWS and Azure cloud environments.Work with large internal and external datasets, ensuring performance and reliability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions.Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to automation efforts.Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.In addition to deep technical expertise, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong desire to new tools and technology and an inclusive attitudeWhat You Will Bring2–5 years of hands-on experience in software development.Software skills - Python, Java, React, JavaScript, SQL, Shell, Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration-as-CodeExperience with Shell scripting for automation and system tasks.Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.Strong understanding of source control and git - branching schemes, merge types, conflict resolutionsExposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and infrastructure concepts.Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.Issue tracking and versioning (Jira)Package managers (pip, npm)Build tools (Gradle, Maven)Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong verbal communication skills to address both the development community and business leaders.Excellent initiative, curiosity, interpersonal and problem-solving skillsWhat Will Set You ApartAWS / Azure Cloud CertificationsExperience in developing workflow in CI/CD orchestration tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.Familiarity with application security domains (static code analysis, SAST, DAST, SCA, xSPM)Financial Industry experiencePGIM Ireland is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of applicants' gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, race or membership of the traveler community.
