Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) professional to oversee the implementation of our HSEQ management system across multiple sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing ISO certification and audits, organizing health and safety training, and developing procedures and SOPs for on-site teams.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage ISO Certification and Audits: Ensure compliance with statutory and best practice regulations, manage audit processes, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Organize Health and Safety Training: Develop and deliver training programs for employees, manage the on-site training matrix, and ensure all personnel have access to relevant training materials.
* Develop Procedures and SOPs: Create and maintain up-to-date procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for on-site teams, ensuring risks and hazards are communicated to all relevant parties.
* COSHH Assessments: Conduct COSHH assessments and provide chemical handling training within the plant, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Audit Processes: Participate in audit processes, investigate incidents, and compile reports as required.
* Data Analysis: Analyze monthly EHS statistics for global board reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
* Liaison: Liaise with EHS regulators, HSA, EPA, local councils, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements:
* Minimum degree or higher diploma in health and safety.
* Minimum 2.5 years' experience in a customer-service-driven environment.
* Experience working with management systems i.e. ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001.
* Proven ability to work on own initiative, problem-solving skills, and innovation.
* Membership of IOSH (or working towards) or equivalent.
* Proficiency in Microsoft IT applications.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good organizational skills, able to multitask.
* Full Clean Driving Licence.
* Access to own vehicle.
* Flexibility to travel as required.
