Job Title
Deliver new water network improvements in the North East of Ireland, working on projects in Meath, Westmeath, Longford and Louth.
As a Resident Engineer - Water, you will supervise and manage work to deliver upgrades and improvements to water networks. You should have experience in either designing or constructing watermain upgrades and rehabilitation techniques, such as leakage repair.
* Work with Regional Contractors to ensure projects are delivered according to the Contract and legislation.
* Liaise with Local Authorities to deliver projects successfully.
* Conduct Health Safety and Quality (HSQE) audits and manage HSQE issues.
* Process work orders and approve service requests.
* Update project trackers and review and approve 'as laid' drawings.
* Collaborate with IW Design Engineers to clarify project requirements.
* Deal with customer complaints and provide feedback to Regional Leads and IW.
* Attend meetings with Regional Contractors and IW, and keep accurate records.
* Create lists of snags and sign off when complete.
* Visit sites before works commence to identify potential problems and provide feedback to IW Design Engineers.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* At least 5 years' experience in onsite supervision and site engineering of civil engineering works, including water projects.
* A Degree in a related discipline, such as Civil Engineering.
* The ability to write clear and concise reports and maintain accurate records.
* Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
* A current and valid SafePass card is essential; Confined Spaces training would be desirable.
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Travel may be involved, so flexibility is necessary.
