Tool and Die Maker

The position Tool Mechanic/Tool and Die Maker aims at gaining high customer satisfaction while following all customer and production requests. It is the position’s responsibility to deliver tools and spare parts of its shift in a timely and technological manner observing given data, quantities, timelines, and standards of quality assurance and HSE while making best use of human resources as well as machines and production facilities. Reduce external and internal complaints and avoid repeat errors due to expert working and handling the products conforming to standards.
Tasks:
* Maintain tools and support production in case of an error during production.
* Maintain and repair tools according to the standards and descriptions (tool maintenance plan).
* Support production with tool adjustments and setups if necessary.
* Control and monitor the work area.
* Organize useful tools, production facilities, material, and other appliances.
* Train support personnel.
* Set up the complete assets.
* Release production tools according to the test plan of quality assurance.
* Clear the asset conforming to accident prevention regulations.
* Support Production/Press in all matters if needed.
* Complete tasks in the work area.
* Timely provision of products per requirement.
* Start remedial actions when disturbances occur to ensure continuous production.
* Release tools after test/examination.
* Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in the complete work area.
* Observe HES instructions in the area of responsibility and direct work environment.
Competences:
* Release production tools according to general plant safety regulations (accident prevention regulation).
Responsibility (area):
* Responsible for a trouble-free process in the area of work.
* Observe existing safety and environmental company codes.
* Monitor spare parts stock.
* Report problems to management, PPL, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, internal clients, and internal suppliers within the process.

* Workstation with hand tools; responsible for 5S objectives. Orderly cleanliness.
* Test site, test devices, measurement equipment, process-related machines, and equipment with appropriate data sheets (setup plans, diagrams, test plans, work plans, etc.).
* Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts; moderate noise level in the work environment, hearing protection required.
* Exposure to heavy sharp objects/Chemicals; PPE required (Safety shoes, Gloves, Safety Glasses).

Job Experience:
* Good PC knowledge (MS Office).
* Knowledge in measurement technology and reading of diagrams.
* Several years of experience in tool maintenance or metal forming (deep drawing).
* Extended knowledge in reading diagrams.
* Basic knowledge of forming tools.
