Position Overview
We are currently recruiting Field Service Engineers to support our activities in the semiconductor industry.
The Field Service Engineer supports the team on providing highly visible customer support through the performance of on‑site installations, as well as contributes in the resolution of any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems, performing regular preventive maintenance on existing systems, checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on high‑value semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment
Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, mechanical diagrams, electrical schematics, gases knowledge
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Follows standard practices and procedures in analysing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained
Instructing customers in the operation and maintenance of the system and serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects
High focus on Safety, Quality and Compliance standards
Profile & Requirements
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel
EU work authorisation required
Minimum 1 year + of technical or mechanical experience
Good communication skills in English (professional level required), written and oral
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Customer‑focused with excellent time management and organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Leaving Cert or completed professional training in a technical field (e.g. mechatronics technician, electrical/electronic field); preference for University’s degree in Engineering or related field
Experience in electronics, pneumatics, or vacuum systems
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, mechanical diagrams, electrical schematics, gases knowledge
Previous experience with semiconductor capital equipment and understanding of industry standards and best practices for semiconductor equipment service activities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of English is essential, both written and oral
Willingness to work on shifts, if required
