Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading construction and civil engineering firm on the appointment of a SHEQ Manager for two large-scale projects in Dublin.
Reporting to the Site Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality assurance monitoring across both projects, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal standards.
In your new role:
1. Support Site Management in ensuring compliance with workplace safety legislation and company protocols
2. Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance on-site, conducting audits and inspections
3. Assist in reviewing job-specific risk assessments and method statements
4. Identify safety concerns and work with site teams to implement practical solutions
5. Maintain accurate and current health & safety documentation
6. Act as a liaison for internal audits, external regulators, and third-party inspectors
7. Track and report on workplace accidents, hazards, and compliance metrics
8. Support the delivery of safety training, toolbox talks, and site inductions
9. Assist in planned fire, environmental, and emergency drills
10. Promote behavioural safety and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
11. Support the maintenance of SHEQ systems in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards
What you will need to succeed:
12. 4+ years' experience within a similar senior H&S role - Civil Engineering/Construction
13. Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc)
14. Strong experience with ISO standards and auditing (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
15. Experience with report writing, organisation or planning
16. IOSH membership
17. Good communication and people management skills
18. IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
19. Full clean driving license
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
20. Environmental or Quality certifications
21. NEBOSH Diploma
