Job Description:
Our client, a prominent financial institution, is seeking a seasoned professional to fill a key role in their Dublin finance team. As part of an ongoing expansion strategy, this individual will be responsible for supporting internal and external regulatory reporting, with a focus on the Irish subsidiary of a major international bank.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing and preparing internal and external regulatory returns
2. Delivering high-quality prudential reports, including Capital, Liquidity, Large Exposures, Asset Encumbrance, and Leverage Ratio
3. Staying informed on changes in regulatory requirements and their impact on reporting processes
Oversight & Team Support:
The successful candidate will provide coverage for the VP in their absence, mentor and support junior finance team members, and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all reporting activities.
Process Improvement & Controls:
This role involves identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements, as well as maintaining a strong control environment.
Risk & Conduct Responsibilities:
The individual will monitor, identify, and escalate operational and conduct risks, providing clear communication and reporting to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with circa 5+ years post-qualification experience and previous experience within financial services is essential. An in-depth understanding of FINREP and Irish statistical reporting is desirable.
