Overview of The Role

FUEL are seeking a talented 2D Graphic Designer & Studio Manager for a fixed-term contract (circa 1-year) to join our Creative & Design Team.

The Graphic Designer & Studio Manager will play a vital role in the traffic & resource management of our creative team; overseeing all incoming briefs & dissecting them to assign the right talent internally and externally. They will also be responsible for designing visual materials that contribute to the success of our diverse experiences. They will work closely with our Executive Creative Director, Experience Teams and clients to create engaging and visually appealing designs.

As this is a dual role the ideal candidate will need to have the ability to jump in and out of the operations elements as this can change day by day depending on what needs attention.

FUEL is an Experience and Entertainment Group. We operate from Dublin, Europe and the US but we engage all over the world. We specialise in Brand and Employee Experience, Content, Production Services and Streaming, Technology, Festivals and Gifting.

Studio Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Manage the day-to-day resourcing and operational workflow and systems of the Creative Departments.
* Responsible for the day to day management of the team members meeting deadlines across all projects
* Get involved in project timelines where necessary
* Day-to-day systems management, including workflow system on Scoro
* Collaborate closely with CD, directors, event producers, creatives and designers to understand project scope and resource requirements.
* Must resource projects at a very fast pace to keep up with the flow of business.
* Have a deep understanding of each team member's skills within the creative, design and content team
* Continuously monitor resource availability and adjust assignments to align with project demands
* Regular check in with the Director of Operations on operational elements
* Freelance management:
* Manage and build out the freelance base for creative. On-going recruitment is super important here.
* Build relationships with key freelancers, share new talent with the teams and onboard new freelance talent onto the FUEL system & keep updated availability.
* Manage all freelance costs on projects; negotiating fees and managing invoicing.
* Manage all documentation: NDA's, SOW'SContracts, etc

2D Graphic Designer responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Conceptualisation and Design: Create visually impactful designs for a wide array of projects, including but not limited to bespoke pitch decks, branding, print collateral, digital assets, social media graphics, and web design.
* Branding and Identity: Expertly navigate brand guidelines and develop event branding and ensure consistent application across all design elements.
* Creative Input: Contribute fresh and innovative design ideas during brainstorming sessions and planning meetings.
* Digital Assets: Create digital assets for event promotions, including email campaigns, social media graphics, and website content.
* Client Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their design needs and provide creative solutions.
* Print Production: Prepare print-ready files and liaise with printers and production vendors to ensure high-quality output.
* Software Proficiency: Utilise industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).

Who are we looking for; attributes, experience & skills:

* Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* At least 2 years experience as studio manager or similar ops focused role
* Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a portfolio showcasing event-related design work.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software.
* Proficiency in Google Slides.
* Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for design.
* Ability to balance operational efficiency and problem-solving.
* Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and project requirements.
