The Role:THE ROLEWe are currently seeking a Service Technician to join our growing Service Team, to be based in the South of Ireland. This role will primarily support sites in Cork and the wider southern region, with flexibility required for nationwide travel and occasional overseas assignments to support Writech’s international operations. This is a hands-on role suited to individuals who are mechanically or electrically minded, with a strong focus on customer service, servicing, maintaining and fault-finding across mechanical piping systems, electrical control systems, and fire pump installations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance and inspection of pump units and alarm valve arrangements onsite.Fault finding and installation of control wiring systems and panels.Stripping and overhauling of pumps and alarm valves.Fault finding and installation of pumps, engines, and motors.Filling out a report after each site visit on a Company iPad.Compile detailed work orders and identify items requiring repair or follow-up worksEnsure all works are completed in compliance with relevant fire protection standards, health & safety requirements and company proceduresParticipate in an on-call rota, including evening, weekend and emergency call-outs as requiredTravel across the South of Ireland, with flexibility to travel nationwide and occasionally internationally to support overseas Writech sitesFull clean driving licence held for a minimum of 12 monthsFlexibility to work overtime, stay away from home when required, and participate in an on-call rotaStrong mechanical and/or electrical aptitudeExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills with a flexible, adaptable and proactive attitudeExcellent time management, attention to detail and reliabilityCompetent in the use of digital tools for reporting and documentationPrevious experience as a Service TechnicianExperience working with fire protection systems, pumps, pipework, engines or control panelsFamiliarity with site-based service environmentsMonday to FridayOn-call rota including some weekend availabilityOvertime and flexible working required depending on site and operational needsBenefits PackageCompany VanBike to Work schemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeWellness programmeCompany eventsWritech is an equal employment opportunities employer.We value diversity, equity, and inclusion, we recognise the benefits it can bring to the workforce and our Client’s that we support.
