OverviewSenior Structural Maritime Engineer role at RINA in Cork, Ireland. You will review and evaluate the design and build of a new and complex jetty/pier, which will be the integral asset for a new downstream energy supply. This role is based in Cork, Ireland, on a 2 year Fixed Term Contract.ResponsibilitiesLead the review of jetty/pier designEvaluate structural integrity of the design, including materials selectionIdentify and troubleshoot issues; make recommendations to enhance asset integrity and reliabilityEngage with third party stakeholders, including port authorities and local towage service providersWork with internal cross-functional teams, including Marine Engineers, consultants and PMOReport findings to the client, with support from the PMOSkills, Experience & QualificationsBetween 7-15 years’ Structural Maritime Engineering experience in settings such as jetties/piers, dockyards/shipyards or offshore platformsExperience of analysing structural maritime designs and evaluating their functionalityMeticulous approach to design accuracy and thoroughness in evaluations and documentationConduct safety assessments and assess potential hazards; implement measures to mitigate risksExperience of working in complex matrix environmentsStrong verbal and written communication skills; effectively communicate technical information to a broad range of stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural EngineeringAbout RINARINA is a global engineering consultancy, working for the Energy, Marine, Defence, Infrastructure and Industrial sectors.
