Job Title: Water Treatment Operations Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Water Treatment Operations Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic team responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance & repair of water and wastewater treatment assets.
The successful candidate will possess experience in construction and/or water maintenance, with a strong understanding of water and wastewater systems and practices. They will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
* Support the operation of water and wastewater treatment processes and carry out routine maintenance activities.
* Operate and maintain assigned assets including controlling and adjusting assets, inspecting and monitoring assets, testing and calibrating equipment.
* Operate the water and wastewater network and carry out routine maintenance activities.
* Conduct asset checks and inspections to identify problems and raise work orders.
* Check, record and monitor quality parameters and report relevant information using technology systems.
* Meter reading as required and maintaining stocks of materials and chemicals.
* General maintenance of sewers, treatment works, pumping stations and buildings.
* Carry out other duties deemed necessary by your line manager.
Requirements:
* Full driving licence is minimum requirement.
* Safe Pass required.
* Other tickets preferred.
* Secondary level education or equivalent work experience.
* Experience of working independently and as part of a team.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office e.g. Word & Excel.
* Experience and understanding of working within a strong health & safety culture.
* Good basic knowledge of water and wastewater systems and practices is desirable.
