Manufacturing Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Galway. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in achieving our manufacturing goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and resolve electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues on machines and equipment in a timely manner.
* Maintain and update technical documentation for equipment and systems.
* Collaborate with engineers to implement solutions that enhance equipment reliability.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs on our Pragma system.
* Provide technical support and guidance to operators.
* Maintain a spares management system to track usage and reorder parts efficiently.
* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and materials.
* Optimize inventory levels to balance cost and availability of spare parts.
* Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to maximize machine availability and performance.
* Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Requirements:
* NFQ Level 7/8 in a Technical Discipline or trade qualified with 3 years of experience working in an engineering capacity.
* Minimum 2-5 years of experience working at an Engineering level, ideally in the Medical Device industry or other highly regulated environment.
* Project Planning/Management experience is highly desirable.
* Process & Equipment validations, IQ/OQ/PQ, are also desirable.
