The Errigal Country House Hotel is a 4-star wedding and events venue with an excellent reputation for food and service. Alongside our established offerings, we have recently expanded with the R&R Brasserie and R&R Garden Spa, providing high-quality dining and guest experiences. We are now seeking hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porters and Kitchen Hands to join our busy kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Porter Duties:
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
* Wash pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
* Operate and maintain dishwashing machines.
* Keep food preparation areas clean and organised.
* Dispose of waste properly and safely.
* Assist with basic food preparation when required.
* Support chefs and kitchen staff with any ad-hoc duties.
Kitchen Hand Duties:
* Assist chefs with food preparation, peeling, chopping, and portioning.
* Ensure ingredients are prepared, stored, and rotated correctly.
* Maintain cleanliness and order in the food prep areas.
* Assist with plating and presentation during busy service periods.
* Ensure health & safety and HACCP standards are followed at all times.
* Support the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage but not essential (training provided).
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
