Chartered Trade Mark Attorney – Burges Salmon LLP
Burges Salmon are recruiting a qualified Trade Mark Attorney to support their leading Intellectual Property (IP) practice in Dublin (or remote in the Republic of Ireland). The role focuses on EU trade mark matters, providing well‑informed, strategic and pragmatic advice to international clients across the EU.
Overview
Our full‑service IP offering is highly‑acclaimed and recognised internationally, with work for high‑profile global brands across retail, food & drink, FMCG, media, sports and leisure. The team supports clients with both EU and UK trademark matters, though this role is primarily focused on EU work.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic advice on trade mark clearance, protection, enforcement and strategy to a roster of global brands.
Manage trade mark filings and contentious proceedings in collaboration with Trade Mark Attorneys.
Devise and advise on worldwide filing strategies; liaise with local counsel worldwide.
Advise on office actions, respond to the EUIPO and manage oppositions and other contentious proceedings at the EUIPO.
Work closely with a close‑knit team of contentious and non‑contentious IP lawyers.
Requirements
Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with at least one year of post‑qualified experience.
Excellent client care skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
Demonstrated commercial awareness and understanding.
Comfortable working independently, remotely from the wider team.
