About the Role
: As Site Supervisor at Alliance Explore Flooring, you play a key role in the successful delivery of commercial flooring projects. You are responsible for overseeing the daily operation of project sites, coordinating site teams, ensuring material readiness, maintaining high-quality installation standards, and serving as the direct point of contact between Alliance, the client, and suppliers.
Responsibilities
:
Site Management & Workforce Coordination
* Ensure flooring fitters are scheduled, present, and briefed each day.
* Maintain daily on-site supervision to monitor progress, safety, and performance.
* Resolve on-site issues efficiently and escalate when necessary.
* Promote a professional, respectful work environment aligned with Alliance standards.
Stock & Materials
* Conduct accurate stock takes on-site and flag shortages proactively.
* Coordinate directly with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of flooring materials.
* Verify all incoming materials are correct, in good condition, and stored properly.
* Liaise with warehouse/logistics when resupply is needed.
Communication & Client Liaison
* Maintain regular, clear, and professional communication with clients and main contractors on-site.
* Represent Alliance Explore Flooring as the lead contact on the ground.
* Proactively address client queries or site concerns and ensure these are communicated back to the office/project management.
Project Tracking & Reporting
* Keep project management software up to date daily:
* Progress reports
* Photos
* Notes on delays, variations, or site instructions
* Attend weekly internal and divisional meetings to update on project status.
Quality Assurance
* Monitor the quality of workmanship throughout the day and ensure work is delivered to the highest industry and company standards.
* Record and manage snagging lists and ensure resolution in line with deadlines.
* Review installation against drawings/specifications and confirm compliance.
Health & Safety
* Promote a safe working environment by identifying risks and ensuring site compliance with H&S regulations.
* Complete any required safety paperwork (RAMS, toolbox talks, permits) in coordination with the office team.
* Ensure all fitters follow safety protocols and PPE standards.

* Maintain a positive, proactive attitude and solution-focused approach to challenges.
* Represent the values of Alliance Explore Flooring professionally at all times on-site.
* Support the Contracts/Project Manager in delivering projects on time, on budget, and to spec.
* Identify areas for improvement and bring forward suggestions to help enhance our service delivery.
Qualifications
:
* Strong site coordination and communication skills.
* Confidence using project management tools.
* Experience working with or supervising fitters/subcontractors in a flooring or construction environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
* Ability to manage time and priorities effectively across multiple sites if required.
* Professional, calm, and respectful in dealing with clients and team members.
Reporting Structure
: You report directly to the Contracts Manager / Project Manager, who will support you with site logistics, planning, and escalation of project risks. You will collaborate closely with fitters, warehouse/logistics staff, suppliers, and client site contacts.
