Job OverviewAmazon Web Services (AWS) provides storage, compute and other solutions to customers globally. The Data Center (DC) Security Team offers physical security solutions to protect AWS personnel, facilities, and customer information.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a chat queue, phone communications, generate and/or manage trouble tickets, handle incoming chats, and provide support to customers.Drive security awareness campaigns aimed at enhancing security vigilance and effectiveness.Manage workflow ticketing and extraction/development of performance metrics.Configure physical security devices including cameras, readers, and panels.Support daily operational security across a data‑centre campus.Distil overarching security strategy into daily tactics to reach management goals.Coordinate day‑to‑day activities and site security operations.Coordinate with operations teams across multiple business units.Provide guidance and leadership across team programs.Build partnerships through networking and innovation.Extract metrics and seek improvements by analyzing data and trends to influence positive change.Verify Data Center security programs meet defined global security standards.Assist in all media‑integrity related programs and activities.Assist in training new and existing personnel on compliance with security policies and procedures.Handle escalations and resolve tasks delegated to the team.Draft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operations.Collaborate with managers in writing and implementing security policies, processes and procedures based on regional or global initiatives.Serve as a customer advocate by identifying security‑related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain uncompromising security standards.Participate in site audits and inspections.Identify, discuss and bring forward issues and solutions to senior team members to raise the security bar.Basic QualificationsExperience overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.1 to 5 years experience in an operations room/centre.Exposure to Physical Security operations.Proven track record of customer service.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Good judgment and critical thinking.Preferred Qualifications2+ years of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data.Basic knowledge of physical security systems and their operation, including access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance.Equal Opportunity StatementAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
