Please review the Eligibility and requirements for an employment permit if you are unsure of your eligibility to apply for this vacancy.Job DescriptionThe Compliance Officer will support and strengthen our organization’s strategies.Maintaining internal quality systems and ensuring all policies and procedures meet regulatory standards.Ensuring ongoing compliance with HIQA, NHI, WRC, and other Irish regulatory bodies, including addressing audit findings.Conducting internal audits to identify non‑compliance risks and implementing monitoring mechanisms.Monitoring the onboarding process to ensure a positive experience for employees and hiring managers.Ensuring all new hires are set up in HR systems and processed by payroll in a timely manner.Maintaining a superior working knowledge of current onboarding legislation (probation periods, unfair dismissals, retirements) and employer responsibilities to inform management of changes before they arise.Communicating onboarding progress to hiring managers and key stakeholders, offering solutions for issues, and adopting a continuous improvement approach.Full responsibility for leavers—ensuring all employees are removed from HR systems and processed by payroll in a timely manner.Ensuring the offboarding experience is positive for the employee.Liaising with operations to ensure leavers are removed from their listings.Communicating offboarding progress (retirement, general leavers) to managers and stakeholders.Supporting HR, Recruitment, and Operations to align internal practices with Irish employment law and governance standards.Assisting with data integrity, incident reporting, and operational risk management.Managing relevant ad hoc projects, ensuring that BAU (Business As Usual) activity is managed effectively.Qualifications: A minimum of Level 7 qualification is required, but 8 or 9 is desirable, especially in Business, Compliance, Healthcare Management, or Law. Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, governance, or regulatory management (preferably in healthcare).
