Job Title: Project Manager / Site Engineer Salary: Competitive Job Type: Permanent Location: Mullingar, Co Westmeath Ref: S11916 Recruitment Plus on behalf of our client, a sector leading organisation, have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to oversee large scale projects.Increase your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.This company offers design, manufacture, delivery and installation service for projects in the commercial, infrastructure, utilities and residential markets across Ireland and the UK.This role will suit Project Managers with a few years experience, or Site Engineers who want to move into a PM role.Requirements: Degree qualified (L7 or L8) in Civil/Structural Engineering/ Construction Management Degree (or equivalent) Must have setting out experience.Circa 5 years experience in a similar role ideally.Ability to think methodically, plan and manage projects.Excellent verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills.Over time, develop negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills combined with the ability to delegate.Ability to work under pressure, balance priorities, and meet strict deadlines is essential and being highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges.Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.Valid up to date Safe-pass, SSSTS card/CSCS card, Appointed Persons and other related training and tickets are desirable but these can be provided.Full clean valid driving license is required and willingness to travel for work.Key Duties & Responsibilities: Coordination of site activities in conjunction with Contracts Manager and Site Foreman and monitoring the dimensional accuracy of the installation.Quality checking and compiling of inspection reports.Liaison and arranging site deliveries and craneage along with the clients site team.Attend site meetings and maintain clear communication to CM and site team.Coordination, communication and monitoring of site H&S Requirements in conjunction with CM and Health & Safety Manager.Technical responsibility relating to projects on site including (but not limited to) reading and interpretation of all construction drawings.Liaise with Contracts Manager in relation to production programming and delivery of units to site for timely install.Assist the CM with the scheduling of all labour, plant and equipment and material resources required to complete the successful delivery of projects.Assist the CM with project programming and control works progress against agreed programmes.Liaise with Transport Manager in planning and scheduling of all delivery requirements for site.Self-motivated and meticulous, you must also have the ability to prioritise your workload effectively and maintain good accurate daily records.Working knowledge of Auto-Cad and Eurocodes along with excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages and the use of 3 D modelling.Possess good organization, planning and time management skills, a flexible approach and the ability to work on your own initiative.Willingness to develop commercial acumen, in addition to technical skills as part of your commitment to ongoing self-improvement as part of your CPD.If you have the relevant qualifications and experience and are interested in this position, please apply now and Ciara who is based in our Northeast office will be in contact if you are suitable.If you are living in Ireland and hold a VALID WORK PERMIT, please feel free to contact us directly.However, if you do not hold a valid work permit unfortunately we will not be in a position to assist you with your job search.Recruitment Plus is not in a position to respond to each individual application due to the high volume of submissions.We will only contact those candidates whose CV matches the criteria for the vacancy.
