We are looking for a Food safety and Quality Retail Coordinator to manage and improve Retail Food Safety standards within SuperValu and Centra, ensuring best‑in‑class retail food safety at all times.
What you’ll be doing
* Management of Retail Food Safety Standards
* Oversight of all Retail food safety training programmes
* Improvement programmes for underperforming stores
* Promotion of best practice food safety standards
Main Responsibilities
* Manage Retail Food Safety Auditing Programme in association with Lloyds Register
* Define and implement Food Safety improvements
* Monitor Food Safety Continuous Improvement Plans
* Liaise with Sales teams on Retail Food Safety
* Proactively manage At Risk retailers through START - Store Assist programmes
* Promote Food Safety Best Practice with retailers
* Liaise with EHOs and FSAI on food safety matters
* Manage Food safety training in co-ordination with HR team
* Ensure that the Food Safety and Quality team is aware of and prepared for any legislative changes

Store Managers, Retailers, Sales Teams, Store Development Team, Lloyds register / EIQA, FSAI / EHO / FSA and Food Safety Consultants
What we’re looking for
* 5 years+ experience in a Retail Operations role with experience of food safety and quality elements
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact and influence effectively at all levels and with diverse stakeholder groups and to get things done
* Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
* Strong problem‑solving skills
* Excellent organisation skills with an ability to manage a busy workload in a fast‑paced environment and prioritise
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Third level degree in Food Technology / Science or other relevant professional qualification
