Join to apply for the Psychology Assistant role at Enable Ireland, an organisation that makes a real difference to the lives of children and adults with disabilities in Ireland.

We are seeking a highly-motivated Psychology Assistant to join our team in CH08 Meath CDNT 5 Navan/Slane. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, 35 hours per week, with a salary scale of €29,247 pro rata per annum.

Overview Of The Post: The post holder will assist the psychologists working in the CDNT in the provision of psychology services to children accessing the service as appropriate.

Essential Criteria:

* Have a Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) accredited qualification at not less than a Level 8 at 2.1 honours grade on the QQI qualifications framework in which psychology was a major subject.
* OR: A Level 8 honours degree in another subject (2.1 or higher) together with an accredited conversion qualification at a minimum of (2.1) as conferring eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
* OR: A qualification equivalent to the above accredited by the British Psychological Society for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
* OR: A qualification equivalent to either (i) or (ii) which would allow the applicant to become a graduate member of the PSI.

AND:

* Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and administrative ability, for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
* Experience working within a health care or academic environment where there was an opportunity to work with a patient population clinically and/or for research purposes.
* Experience working with Clinical Psychologists.
* Experience working with Health Care Professionals.
* Experience in working with children and their families.
* Experience working as part of a team.
* Valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transport in order to deliver services across a large geographical area.
* Applicants must be eligible to work in the state.

Desirable Criteria:

* Experience undertaking psychological tests, under supervision.
* Any relevant post graduate training specific to child disability services.
* An awareness and understanding of the features of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Contributed to/participated in clinical research or audit outside of undergraduate requirements.
* Undertaking data collection, under supervision.
* Have undertaken education or training in applied clinical and or research skills associated with the practice of psychology in a clinical setting.
