Job Description
This position involves installation and servicing of mechanical equipment at water and wastewater contracting sites. Key responsibilities include carrying out mechanical installation, service, and repairs, as well as working knowledge of mechanical and electrical plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation and servicing of all types of pumps, blowers, screens, gearboxes, and other mechanical assets in the water and wastewater industry.
* Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical plant operations and ability to carry out routine planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
* Clearly identify mechanical faults and identify how to resolve the fault, including identifying parts required.
* Evidence that tasks you have been assigned are completed should be presented to the relevant person running the job.
* Mechanical and electrical supervision role for onsite works unless otherwise confirmed to you for specific jobs and are responsible for that job been completed in an efficient manner and in the time allocated, without any compromise on health, safety or quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and manuals.
* Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and fix mechanical issues.
* Precision in performing maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team with the support from the Service division.
* Qualified Mechanical Fitter/Plant Fitter/Mechanic.
