The Senior Social Care Worker plays a vital role in the care and support of individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, or acquired brain injuries. The position requires a qualification at Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications in Social Care, Social Work, Youth Work, Teaching, Nursing, Childcare with Disability modules.
Key responsibilities include providing person-centred care, assisting persons with disabilities with residential, training, and day service activities to achieve their highest level of functioning and maintain independence. The Senior Social Care Worker is part of the on-floor duty team and will be responsible for coordinating the shift while on duty and supervising other staff under their direction.
Requirements
* A qualification at Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications in Social Care, Social Work, Youth Work, Teaching, Nursing, Childcare with Disability modules.
* At least 2 years of experience working in a residential, respite, or day service setting with people with an intellectual disability.
* CORU registration or currently in the process of obtaining CORU registration.
