About the Role We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our finance team on a temporary contract. This role supports the timely and accurate preparation of financial accounts, reporting, and analysis, while partnering with the business to support decision-making and operational performance. Job Purpose To support the preparation of monthly financial accounts, analysis, and associated reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, while providing meaningful financial insight to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Prepare and report monthly financial accounts through financial reporting systems in a timely and accurate manner. Produce monthly financial reports and analysis for management. Perform analytical reviews of monthly financial results. Monitor, track, and explain financial variances against budget and forecast. Support compliance with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g. SOX). Liaise with internal and external auditors as required. Assist with the implementation and enhancement of financial and reporting systems. Perform monthly reconciliations of income statement and balance sheet accounts. Support General Ledger maintenance and period-end close activities. Provide finance support and analysis to operational and functional teams. Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes. Contribute to finance-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Education & Experience Essential - Qualified accountant or finance professional with ideally 2+ years experience in a finance or analytical role. Essential - Level 8 qualification (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) is an advantage.
