A panel may be formed for Dental Nurse, Senior, from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.Details of ServiceThe Dental Department provides emergency dental care, oral health assessment, health promotion, prevention, and dental treatment services to children and adults with special needs. The unit collaborates with Primary Care and hospital colleagues. Children qualifying for public Orthodontic treatment are referred to the Orthodontic service. Treatment for most adults with a medical card is contracted to private dental practitioners. Dental nurses may be asked to provide cover across dental services in Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford, and Wexford.The team includes a Principal Dental Surgeon, Senior Dental Surgeons, General Dental Surgeons, Dental Hygienists, Senior Dental Nurses, Dental Nurses, and clerical staff.
