Automation Technician — West Dublin (Dublin 15).
Contract: 12-Month Initial Contract (with strong potential to go permanent).

About The Company
Our client is a leading third-party medical device contract manufacturer with a strong track record of delivering world-class manufacturing solutions to global healthcare companies.
As they prepare to open a state-of-the-art production facility in West Dublin, they are recruiting multiple Automation Technicians to join their growing team.
Role Overview
The Automation Technician will play a key role in supporting the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment in a regulated medical device environment.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure equipment reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency as the new site ramps up production.
Key Responsibilities
Support installation and commissioning of automated production lines and equipment in the new facility.
Perform planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance on a range of automation systems (robotics, PLC-controlled machinery, vision systems, conveyors, etc.).
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain compliance with GMP and ISO 13485 standards.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to implement equipment modifications and improvements.
Ensure all work is documented in line with regulatory and company standards.
Support validation, calibration, and qualification of equipment and systems.
Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Provide technical support and training to production operators as required.
Candidate Profile
Qualified in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
2+ years' experience in an automation or maintenance role, ideally within medical devices, pharma, or a regulated manufacturing environment.
Strong technical knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar), robotics, servo systems, and vision systems.
Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with GMP, ISO 13485, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Ability to work shifts and respond flexibly to production needs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
