Optimize Recruitment is working with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Bid Manager to join a growing tendering team.
This role is central to securing high-value civil engineering projects across Ireland and offers strong career progression within a fast-paced, expanding organisation.
Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying Proven experience in a similar Bid Manager role Strong commercial and procurement knowledge Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong understanding of the client journey Key Responsibilities Manage the full bid lifecycle, ensuring timely, compliant, and commercially sound submissions Lead and coordinate bid teams and inputs from internal and external stakeholders Prepare and review commercial and financial elements of tenders Identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities throughout the bid process Contribute to written proposals, including content and presentation Manage contractual, compliance, and governance processes Lead post-bid reviews and ensure effective handover to operations on successful awards Analyse bid performance, trends, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement You will work closely with senior management and take full ownership of the end-to-end tender process, assembling and leading bid teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and competitive submissions.
