We're now looking for a Transport First Line Manager- Nights to take the helm of our daily transport operations
In this pivotal role, you will build and maintain customer relationships, both internal and external. You will also be managing personnel issues relating to clerks/driver controllers/drivers.
what You'll Do
* Actively work as part of the site management team to achieve Green performance as a minimum; assist the Transport Manager in providing root cause when the target is not reached
* Continually monitor and update the DCTS system, ensuring delivery, cost and performance information is up to date.
* Managing Absence – Follow the company systems that are in place to track and manage absence from work of your team. The management of RTWs is also FLM responsibility
* Communication – Work tirelessly to ensure that the flow of communication in your depot is clear, timely and consistent.
* Succession planning – bring to the attention of your line manager any candidates in your immediate team that have the potential for development
* Review processes regularly to ensure they are current and follow best practice.
what You'll Bring
* Minimum of 6 months' experience in transport operations within logistics or a fast-paced environment
* At least 6 months' experience in people management
* Familiarity with the Microlise system and basic IT skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure
