About the Role
* You will assist with daily activities and routines, including direct support to individuals, administrative work, and household tasks.
* Work as part of a dynamic team in a Residential Service, adhering to regulations and standards.
* Provide flexible and supportive care, working shifts on a 24/7 basis, including sleep-ins and waking night duty as required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A relevant QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification or equivalent.
* At least one year of experience in a similar environment, supporting adults or children with intellectual and physical disabilities.
* Knowledge of adults/children with complex needs.
* A full manual driving license and eligibility to drive in Ireland.
* Eligibility to live and work in Ireland.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assist with child/adult activities and care as assigned by the Manager and Integrated Care Plan.
* Encourage individual recognition and prioritize family needs and comforts.
* Act as an advocate for the child/adult and family, ensuring provision of appropriate information and support.
* Develop social interaction in individual and group settings.
* Maintain equipment knowledge, safety precautions, and handling.
* Participate in communication processes – team meetings/staff forums/emails.
* Ensure personal care is provided when required and maintain confidentiality.
* Flexible and willing to work shifts to meet service needs.
