Primtac Personnel is currently collaborating with one of Irelands best Railroad Contractors.
They are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter to join their growing team in Dublin.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILTIES Carry out routine servicing, fault-finding, and mechanical repairs on construction plant and rail-specific machinery Attend breakdowns on-site and provide rapid, safe, and effective solutions to minimise downtime Perform planned preventative maintenance and complete all associated documentation Conduct safety checks and ensure all equipment meets railway and company compliance standards Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults Work both independently and as part of a team to support maintenance operations across various sites Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop and adhere to all health and safety regulations Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators regarding equipment status and recommendations IDEAL CANDIDATE Construction Plant Fitter Qualification (or similar) Previous experience as a Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic / Service Engineer Strong mechanical fitting skills with knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems Experience working with construction plant such as excavators, dumpers etc Full driving licence Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to breakdowns Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics Experience in the railway or rail maintenance sector (desirable) Railway PTS (Personal Track Safety) qualification (desirable) WHAT IS ON OFFER?
