Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop project management skills in the pharmaceutical sector.

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of technical expertise, commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in project management and leadership.

The role involves leading various projects from an electrical perspective and being part of a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have a third-level degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline, with 10+ years of formal experience in heavy industrial engineering design.

They will also be Chartered or working towards the same, with advanced knowledge of all applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading projects from an electrical perspective and participating in a multidisciplinary team.
* Analyzing complex engineering problems and offering effective solutions.
* Providing support to fee and capital budget proposals as required.
* Assembling and managing bid, approval, and construction issue electrical packages in an efficient and lean manner.
* Monitoring electrical engineering staff at junior levels, if required.
* Checking other electrical engineers' work for accuracy and quality and undertaking peer reviews.
* Requiring extensive and independent contact with clients, vendors' representatives and project field personnel.
* Attending and participating in client and PM Group meetings.
* Directing and/or participating in project site visits to monitor, review and sign-off electrical installations.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents.
* Strong working knowledge of carrying out short circuit calculations, load flow and discrimination studies utilising proprietary modelling software (Amtech / SKM).
* Professional approach and demeanour.
* A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and business.
