We are currently recruiting a Director of Nursing for a leading hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Mode of Working: On-site
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours of Work: Permanent full-time position, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with participation in a weekend on-call rota.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate patient care delivery, ensuring the highest standards of clinical and professional practice.
Provide strong clinical leadership and expert guidance across all areas of service delivery.
Support the development of innovative services that integrate neurological and psychiatric care.
Actively contribute to the Senior Management Team at both strategic and operational levels.
Ensure accurate and compliant maintenance of nursing records in line with regulatory and professional standards.
Foster and maintain effective interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient care outcomes.
Lead and evaluate nursing practice developments to strengthen specialist care and improve service quality.
Provide direction and support to Assistant Directors of Nursing and Clinical Nurse Managers in workforce planning and resource management.
Promote an inclusive culture that values diversity, respect, and aligns with organisational values and mission.
Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities including strategic thinking, innovation, collaboration, talent development, adaptability, and continuous self‑improvement.
Requirements
Registered, or eligible for registration, in the Psychiatric Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Minimum of 12 years’ post-registration experience in psychiatric nursing, including at least 4 years at Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) level.
Hold a post‑graduate qualification at Level 8 (QQI) or higher in healthcare, nursing management, or a related field, with evidence of ongoing continuous professional development (CPD).
