JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Manager with experience in the corrugated and/or related packaging industries to join our team. The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality standards through inspection, testing, and documentation. This role will involve working closely with the production and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with Irish and industry-specific quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform inspections and testing of raw materials (paperboard, liners, etc.), in-process components, and finished corrugated products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
* Document and report test results and findings, maintaining accurate and thorough records in compliance with Irish quality standards and regulatory requirements.
* Identify and analyse defects in products, working with production teams to implement corrective actions.
* Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming products.
* Ensure compliance with company quality standards, as well as Irish and EU regulatory requirements (e.g., Health & Safety, environmental standards).
* Support internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
* Collaborate with the Quality Manager and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is required. Candidate without a relevant degree but with the necessary experience will also be considered
* Previous experience in the corrugated industry is preferred but not essential.
* Strong knowledge of quality control standards, processes, and tools specific to the corrugated packaging industry.
* Proficiency in using measuring equipment (e.g., callipers, micrometres, box compression testers) commonly used in the industry.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, product specifications, and customer requirements.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly report findings.
* Familiarity with quality management systems
* Knowledge of Irish regulatory requirements
