About the Role
MMD Construction are seeking to hire a Construction Scheduler to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with construction experience to work on a wide range of exciting projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project planning and execution across multiple sites, working closely with site teams, quantity surveyors, and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and update project schedules using Microsoft Project, encompassing the full project scope, key milestones, and timelines, using Critical Path Methodology (CPM).
* Prepare tender and construction programmes and methodologies for both traditional and design & build projects.
* Produce lookahead programmes, progress trackers, and assist in developing as-built programmes.
* Support project teams by identifying risks and offering planning solutions.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders including site teams, QS teams, and project managers etc.
* Facilitate white board meetings to review programme status and collaborate on weekly planning.
* Assist in establishing project resource requirements.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes and reporting tools.
* Any other ad hoc duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum 6 years on site experience preferably within the construction sector.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
* Strong IT skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and planning documentation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities with a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.
* Knowledge of planning software or lean scheduling tools (e.g., Last Planner, Primavera) is an advantage.
* A relevant third-level qualification in Construction, Engineering, or Project Management is beneficial or comparable construction industry experience.
