Accounting Technician Role Summary
The Accounting Technician plays a vital role in the Financial Support Services Unit, providing expert advice and support to schools on all aspects of financial controls, procedures, cash flow, and budget preparation.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified Accounting Technician or equivalent with at least 3 years post-qualification experience to contribute to the success of our unit.
We are looking for someone with excellent numerical and analytical skills, including data collation, as well as strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients of all levels of accounting expertise.
* Provide technical advice and support to schools on RCT, VAT, payroll, and accounting package maintenance
* Develop standard operating procedures and support materials for in-house excel-based packages and Sage 50
* Offer online and remote access support and training to individuals and groups
Key Skills and Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Fully qualified Accounting Technician or equivalent with at least 3 years post-qualification experience
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills, including data collation
* Strong communication skills, with ability to work effectively with clients of all levels of accounting expertise
* Knowledge of RCT and VAT procedures relevant to a school environment
