Our client is a leading financial services firm providing investment, asset management, and financial solutions to clients globally. They are seeking a Financial Controller to join their team in Dublin. This role will focus on financial reporting, corporate controllership, and operational accounting, ideal for a finance professional with strong technical skills and financial services experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform accounting and financial analysis across multiple systems.
* Manage detailed equity and partnership accounting, including management fee and carried interest calculations.
* Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, including analysis and commentary; coordinate audits with external auditors.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, expense analysis, and regulatory reporting.
* Respond to ad-hoc requests and queries from internal stakeholders and clients.
* Lead or support projects to improve accounting processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, fund management, and client services.
Qualifications:
* Undergraduate degree plus an ACA/ACCA/CPA Qualification or equivalent.
* 5–8 years of accounting or financial services experience, ideally with knowledge of private funds, partnership accounting, or investment products.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint); ERP system experience (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with adaptability to change.
