Overview
A Reliability Specialist is required by CareerWise Recruitment to join our Co Cork Biotech client – a 12-month initial contract role. The Reliability Specialist will be the primary owner of the Asset Maintenance Strategy operating within the site Engineering CoE.
Responsibilities
* Improve asset management and reliability through technical support of the maintenance function and optimisation of the site maintenance process.
* Provide expert advice on improving Equipment Reliability, Risk Based Asset Management, and Cost Management, and act in a consultative fashion to assist with equipment issues.
* Develop engineering solutions to prevent repetitive failures and costly equipment problems.
* Maintain the Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) program such as vibration, thermography, and other predictive analyses, supporting the interpretation of the results.
* Analyse equipment history within the CMMS to assure effectiveness of all maintenance efforts, reducing regulatory concerns, both cGxP and EHS.
* Reduce and improve maintenance work, assuring efficient and reliable operation of plant, process, and equipment while protecting and prolonging the economic life of plant assets at optimal cost.
* Benchmark other sites and industries for new emerging technologies and techniques. Implement digital solutions and SMART maintenance.
* Comply with the current Quality and EHS Management System requirements of our Manufacturing Division, as relevant to the supporting operations.
Requirements
* Engineering degree qualification, preferably mechanical or electrical.
* +5 years of professional experience.
* Desirable +3 years of experience working in a similar role in industrial environment or within a specialized consultancy.
* Ability to analyse and identify trends and patterns.
* CMMS knowledge highly desirable.
