Qualcomm Graphics System Team
The Qualcomm graphics system team in Cork is responsible for developing software for the next generation of graphics processors (GPU). Our team delivers device drivers and tools for prototyping, exploring, and verifying new and prospective features for next generation GPUs.
About the Role
System software engineers work closely with top mobile GPU experts, systems architects, hardware designers, verification engineers, and the silicon team throughout the development life cycle of GPUs. Knowledge of graphics, algorithms, computer architectures, and operating systems are required to develop device drivers and solutions to support the graphics team for validation of future Adreno GPUs.
Key Responsibilities
* Cultivate a deep understanding of Qualcomm's Adreno hardware architecture and its impact on relevant graphics APIs
* Develop device drivers and solutions to support the graphics team for validation of future Adreno GPUs
* Guide and mentor junior team members
Requirements
* Strong C/C++ programming skills
* Understanding of data structures and algorithms
* Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to work independently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 3+ years experience with OpenGL ES/Vulkan/DX11/DX12 Graphics APIs
* 5+ years on C/C++ programming
* Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
